This is an ideal smoothie to make if you have an early morning, great before a training session, when you don’t have time before hitting the gym or if your usual breakfast would be a little heavy. It should be quick and easy to make and a quick rinse of the blender when done. Double up the ingredients if making one for you and one for another lucky person!

INGREDIENTS: (Serves 1)

Half an Avocado

50 grams  spinach leaves (baby leaves are less bitter)

50 grams Kale (again baby leaves are less bitter)

200 Ml of unsweetened almond milk

1 lemon squeezed for juice

1 scoop greens powder of your choice (we use Udo’s Choice beyond greens)

1 scoop (30g) vanilla whey protein (we use Optimum Nutrition Gold standard whey)

METHOD:

Cut open your avocado so you have half, remove stone and chop up into chunks.

Add this and all your other ingredients into a blender, we use a ninja blender, if using a nutri-bullet you might have to make in two batches as the leaves take up a lot of space.

Blend into a smooth consistency serve over ice in a glass.
