Adele pretty much broke the internet when she shared a  photo on her 32nd birthday this year — the first photo she’d posted on Instagram in 2020. Having lost a reported 98 pounds over the past few years, the singer received plenty of attention for her look, with countless celebrity friends commenting their approval. What was her secret?

3 simple steps to her body transformation

  1. A well-balanced, inclusive food plan.
  2. Exercising regularly, getting your heart rate up, and going outside your comfort zone.
  3. Getting proper restful sleep to allow your body and mind to repair and recover.

That’s it! Simple as that no magic pills, teas or shakes.

Just 1 extra requirement was needed on top of this.

Fast results can be fleeting. Slow and gradual tends to last longer. Her trainer gave this advice “anyone wanting to make healthy changes to themselves is to be fully committed to the whole process and above all else to be patient” which is very similar to Body planners favourite slogan ( so much so it is in large writing on our studio wall) “If you are committed you will get it, if you are consistent you will keep it”.

If Adele’s new look has inspired you, the good news is that it is not that that complicated. All that is required is belief in yourself that you can do it, consistency in your actions, and discipline in your routine. She trained 3 times a week, which included progressive resistance and weight training along with more cardio biased sessions, realistic training and nutrition applied consistently over a period of time.  Apply these principles and watch the magic happen, but don’t expect it overnight!
